I saw a post on tumblr that boiled down to "DD/lg is gross because a child thinks that "Daddy" is a sexualized term" and while I think it's weird that kid thought that,

1. That was a thing before DD/lg because A Thing To Hate on Tumblr (sexy "Daddy" comments) and

2. Why the fuck aren't the parents of this child monitoring their kid's internet usage? Why is it everyone else's fault that the kid saw something ~uncouth~ instead of the parent's for not being better at being parents?

to be fair, I have seen DD/lg comments on innocent posts, so there is something of a problem on tumblr of people not knowing when the time and place for their kink is

Yes! I haven't seen it on tumblr, instead I saw it on instagram. Posts about or made by certain actors/actresses would have people responding with 'Daddy' or 'Mom'. And maybe some of them were innocent, but some of them definitely weren't and ugh...I'm sure actors see all sorts of sexual comments about them on social media, but those have to be pretty weird, especially if they actually are parents. OMG, one actor's son was also on instagram and I saw someone ask him how it felt to have random people call his Dad 'Daddy'. Too far, people, too far!

That is fair. That being said, from the way the story was being told, the kid speaking was young enough that she should have been on tumblr (/instagram/twitter/etc.)

Seriously, this. There is a difference between not being ashamed of your kinks and flashing random strangers to get off. And when you do the latter and someone tells you to put your clothes back on, they're not "kink-shaming" you.

Well, I'm starting to think of Daddy as a sexualized term and that's Tumblr's own goddamn fault because they memefied daddy kink so much and I don't regularly hang around any little kids or other people who call their father "Daddy" so it's not like I have other contexts to neutralize the association :|

From what I've seen of that specific kink, they do take non-kink posts and shit them up with their kinks, even when people have told them not to do that (even when the post originated with someone underage). And I get being proud of your kink (which is kinda dumb because it doesn't define you), but exposing it to people who don't want to be exposed to it or shitting up an innocent post with the shit no one wants to see is so fucking inconsiderate and rude and it adds an extra level of grossness when the post was posted or reblogged by someone underage. Have whatever kinks you want, if eating shit turns you on, fine, but no one wants to hear about it.

And they do do some stupid shit that I have heard of when looking for stupid shit on the internet (like wearing a diaper with kitty litter in it and sitting in her own filth).

When I see things like that I think of the pearl-clutching TOTALLY TRUE post how someone's four year old got on their computer and looked up My Little Pony and saw PONY PORN and was so traumatized by it and cried for months.

A. Why does your four year old have unsupervised computer access?
B. Unless you misspell something (Like a F!S commenter who mentioned typo-ing "Unicorn horn tutorial" to "unicorn porn tutorial" ) google images is very good about filtering porny pony stuff and even with safe search off it takes a lot of scrolling before you find something sexual in the general MLP search terms.
C. If your child cries for months at seeing standard cartoon porn there is something VERY VERY BAD going on in your house that you shouldn't blame on the internet. There's a reason most of the inappropriate things kids say tend to be related to kids having no clue what's sexual.

Though on the topics people are discussing, yeaaah hijacking posts with your kink are rude. At the same time I also get really sick of the double standard where I see people post "This is a ANTAGONISTIC Kylo Ren fighting Rey picture, NOT shippy. Reylo is GROSS and ABUSIVE and if you tag it Reylo you need help." and then turn around and reblog something platonic with Rey and Finn with "TRU LOVE SandStorm is <3 <3 <3 they are SO IN LOVE she's had 20 babies by him and they're all beautiful <3 uwu " Like the people who complain the loudest about it are the ones most likely to do it with their kinks/ships.
