There was a TON of Genderbend in the New Star Trek'verse, especially after the first movie. And there was a surprisingly big Genderbend presence in the Watchman fandom.

Also, Zombies was a big thing in the Big Bang Theory fandom, back when I was big into it. There was some really good fics from the Sheldon/Penny people.

I like those tropes, but they kind of depend on the fandom, for me. If there's a TON of one gender over another, I'm fine with some Genderbending. If it's a non-fantasy/sci-fi type fandom, then i LOVE things like Apocalypse tropes and such.

huh, now that you mention it, I do remember a ton of fem!rorschach in that fandom (some fem!dan too, but mostly fem!rorscach if iirc). I didn't read too much of it, but I did appreciate it when authors had fem!rorscach be as ugly as regular rorschach instead of making her a knock out just because the character was genderbent. there were some fics that had fem!rorschach be stupid hot and it always made me lol

They did the same with Dan as well. He was always written as a larger girl. And I always appreciated that.
