- In regards to fanfiction, you can't expect or demand people to "give your fic a chance" if they're not into it. It's their free time to spend how they choose. If they don't like it they just don't like it.

-If you shove yourself into people's face aggressively don't expect people to be nice about it. By the same token, if you shove your dislike into people's faces and are passive aggressive about people making things you don't like ("Nice art but the HP epilogue sucked and should be killed in a fire") you can't expect people to be nice to you either.

-Always saying what passes through your mind isn't "honesty" and doesn't make you more real than anyone else. Having a brain to mouth filter doesn't make you "fake".

-Rigid black and white rhetoric makes me incredibly nervous. Partly because at one point I had rigid black and white moralistic beliefs. Thinking that way made me miserable and always afraid.

-Bullying isn't cool.

- the whole 'lolcow' thing online honestly skeeves me out. It feels very predatory and it overwhelmingly targets mentally ill people and revolves around provoking them for entertainment. and uh...that's fucked up.

- I will never understand why some people eat things that are waaay too spicy for them to handle just to prove they can. Why make your digestive system suffer like that? (I mean its a different thing if you genuinely enjoy the spicy tastes. But just doing it to prove yourself? why???) Same with drinking a bunch of alcohol just because you can.

-Lima beans are awful and I have no idea how anyone can stand them. More power to you if you can I guess???

-Bright colorful and shiny things are awesome.

Well glad I'm not the only one.

Honestly some of the people I've seen engaging in that behavior, even here on F!S (certain anons) have this creepy attitude of "might makes right" and the way they antagonize people who they deem as deserving, it honestly resembles a bigger kid pushing a smaller kid on the playground then making fun of them because they cried.

Even the people who bugged me for a while, some of them eventually admitted that it was for the reaction and "if she didn't want us to continue she shouldn't have reacted " and honestly was just....what?

It's really creepy how some people see this as a big game, to get the other person upset. I've learned how to deal with it when it's directed at me but it still makes me feel very upset when it's targeted at someone who doesn't know how these people work.

Not gonna lie, I've been guilty of similar behavior and taken out my frustrations on and said terrible things to people who don't deserve it. I think it's real easy for most people to convince themselves to dehumanize people if they think they're right enough and the other person isn't, especially with the anonymous nature of the internet.

I think it's generally a good idea not to engage, but yeah people who can't deal that don't deserve to be doggedly antagonized.

That is definitely bullying.

"Even the people who bugged me for a while, some of them eventually admitted that it was for the reaction and "if she didn't want us to continue she shouldn't have reacted " and honestly was just....what?"

And this, I don't get. Who ever decided that the best way to be at all times is emotionless and unreactive? WHY is reacting to something assumed to be a bad thing, that all people know they should avoid if they can? It's not like you actually lose something by reacting, like someone takes ten dollars out of your bank account every time you say something or feel something.

I think someone I know explained it to me this way-that trolls were often people who didn't care about things for whatever reason and looked down on anyone who cared too much, and thus antagonize them for it. They tend to feel like that until they grow up/grow out of it and find a reason to care about things again. (That's me paraphrasing, of course.) That actually helped me understand how a lot of trolls work.

It's a pretty twisted mindset, but at least knowing it I can understand how to deal.

Lima beans might be edible under some good sauce. I find a lot of veg I don't like are acceptable in sauce. Nothing can save eggplant though, IMO, so if that's lima beans for you, then I understand that.

Kinda yeah. Basically it's a combination of the taste and texture that makes them trip up my gag reflex.
