-The BMI is a good measurement of if you're fat or not, unless you're super buff or something.
-The food industry, dieting industry, and rampant false information from advertising is mostly at fault for the obesity problem.
-Being fat isn't healthy, but being sedimentary sure as hell isn't either. The first one gets more shit because they're not attractive.
-As whole, people of an average weight are more attractive than people who are overweight or obese. Demanding people find you attractive is dumb. Lose the weight if you wanna have more dating options.
-Danberu nan kiro moteru?, a manga aimed at adult men about sexy high school girls lifting, has better health and dieting information than like 90% of the shit online I've read. That's pretty damning.

-most social injustices aren't actively calculated, but done out of convenience.
-the live action porn industry is less ethical than 2d bestiality loli snuff or whatever
-on title alone, lesbian porn wars is the best wikipedia article
-ice water is the best drink
-dogs and cats are equally cool and I'll never be able to own a dog and that sucks

I completely agree with this. I mean, I think there are certain parts of the live action porn industry that actually treat their actors well but in general I agree with this. I care a lot more about the abuse of real life women than I do about animated children

Adding some more:

-I have very little respect for people who champion social justice causes, even ones I agree with, but spread false or biased information and use unhanded tactics like guilt tripping to get people to support them.
-I am appalled by how little consideration people give their online anonymity and think it's pretty thoughtless that age/gender/location is commonly given out on profiles or explicitly mentioned at all
-The increasing divide because American democrats and republicans honestly concerns me
-most memes aren't funny and are the equivalent of quoting Monty Python
-Fiction is hilariously human centric, gimme a 300 page epic about obsidian rocks please
-criticizing someone's argument because of typos is lame
-smol is the worst fucking slang to come out of this decade and I wish it'd disappear for good
-fuck is probably the most interesting and versatile word in the English language
-people who rag on amateur artists are pretty lame
-reposting fanart isn't a big deal and you're not missing out that bad. People who are actually interested in your work will find ways to find you.

I agree with all the weight points, and I'm fat. I refuse to fool myself into think people think me attractive.

Ice water is better than un-iced water, maybe because cold deadens flavour and covers up any odd tastes (nothing questionable, just tap water tasting blah). I still like drinking tea more.

I also agree on dogs and cats, but I favour cats more, but I can't have one. I need to visit the cat cafe again.

- People shouldn't pull into parking lots when the person in the lot next to you is trying to get in or out of their car. You've made everyone feel awkward and rushed.

- Most LJ icons aren't that great. They're screencaps I could find and crop on google images. So stop spamming communities with them.

I don't understand the first one. Like... I shouldn't drive in a parking lot where people might be getting in and out of cars? Isn't that all parking lots? How else do I find a parking spot other than entering the lot?

If there is both a staircase and an escalator, people who want to walk should use the stairs and leave the escalator to those who want or need to stand.

Having bikes on the road is dangerous. There should be designated bike lanes, and if not bike riders should stay on the sidewalk or at the very edge of the road where cars won't go. Bikes are not cars and cannot go the speed limit, they do not belong on the road. Yes, drivers should pay attention to bikers. But bikers shouldn't be there in the first place.

Yes, I realize that Walmart and similar stores do awful things. But I will continue to shop there. I may not be poor, but I don't have a lot of money, and that little bit of savings does make a difference. Not everyone can afford to be entirely ethical in their purchases.

-Nuclear energy is a great way to curb reliance on fossil fuels
-Nuclear deterrents prevented WW3 and continue to be of benefit to peace to this day
-GMOs should be widely embraced
-English should just get rid of gendered pronouns altogether
-Not licenses or qualifications, because that's unethical and open to abuse, but their should be mandatory training one goes through before they can become a parent. It is fucking ridiculous how many requirements there are for adoptive parents before they are considered acceptable for an adopted child; we as a society are basically saying: you must be this (wealthy, stable, mentally fit) to raise a child, provided it was someone else's. But children born biologically can suck shit and rot in a foster home because their parents have a ~~~~right~~~~ to them and we prioritize the parent's wants over children's needs... so long as the child was the result of their own sexual fluids, that is. That is straight fucked. Cognitive dissonance on a level beyond belief.

-I side eye people who go around 'signal boosting' how awful some user in fandom is unless there's a bunch of proof they're actually abusing people. Shipping a thing you think is a 'Bad Ship' is not a reason to go around saying 'soandsotumblruser is a pedophile/pedo apologist/abuse apologist'. That's what we call bullying.

-using your mental illnesses/tragic past to justify why people shipping something you don't like is so awful and needs to be stopped is emotional manipulation. Sorry someone shipping a ship made you cry. Try blacklisting it. But don't hold someone else who doesn't fucking know you responsible for your emotions.

-You shouldn't put certain stuff where minors can see it, true. But being a minor on tumblr doesn't give you the privilege to order people around for your comfort. Ask them to tag something , report it if it's being put where minors can see it untagged and then move the fuck on. And ffs stop playing the 'i'm a minor" card when people disagree or upset you and acting like they're "literally harassing minors oh mah gawd". Some minors on tumblr have become entitled little brats who think they can get away with whatever because they're a minor and the adults have to tread carefully around them or be labeled pedos/predators and that's super fucked up. and the moment you harass someone to suicide is the moment you lose your "just a minor' card. You're a bully and should be held responsible. You don't get a pass just because you're 14 and they were older.

- I don't take seriously anyone with an anime icon anymore, except for certain friends.
- Related: I've met a lot of weebs over the years. Some are cool, some are kinda sad, some are stupid, some are neo-Nazis, but the absolute worst have all been women -- which makes an interesting contrast to Western media-oriented geeks (namely comics and video games) who seem to be mostly male. Yaoi fandom optional, though frequent.
- All cops are bastards. All of them. Even the good ones.
- I do not believe in political violence, which is why stuff like smashing Trump's Hollywood star bothers me. But I also am not convinced the NC GOP firebombing wasn't a false flag.
- Libertarianism is stupid and I hate it when libertarians try to talk to me.
- Television is stupid.
- Anyone who doesn't like dogs or cats or both is probably a bad person.
- Rock is dead. Good riddance.
- "WELL BOTH SIDES ARE WRONG" is the mating cry of people who were wrong but need to save face.
- "I don't care about the election" well GOOD FOR YOU but nobody gives a shit your "above it all" bullshit is not helpful so shut the fuck up.
- Voting third party is immoral.
- It's okay to be ace/gray-A/etc. and not make a big deal out of it.
- Getting hysterical about "smartphone addiction" is basically projecting your own lack of self-control into a moralizing lecture.
- Professional sports broadcasts should be required to display how many tax dollars were spent on the game and the stadium it's being played in.
- Death to Gavin Aung Than and Zen Pencils.

- In regards to fanfiction, you can't expect or demand people to "give your fic a chance" if they're not into it. It's their free time to spend how they choose. If they don't like it they just don't like it.

-If you shove yourself into people's face aggressively don't expect people to be nice about it. By the same token, if you shove your dislike into people's faces and are passive aggressive about people making things you don't like ("Nice art but the HP epilogue sucked and should be killed in a fire") you can't expect people to be nice to you either.

-Always saying what passes through your mind isn't "honesty" and doesn't make you more real than anyone else. Having a brain to mouth filter doesn't make you "fake".

-Rigid black and white rhetoric makes me incredibly nervous. Partly because at one point I had rigid black and white moralistic beliefs. Thinking that way made me miserable and always afraid.

-Bullying isn't cool.

- the whole 'lolcow' thing online honestly skeeves me out. It feels very predatory and it overwhelmingly targets mentally ill people and revolves around provoking them for entertainment. and uh...that's fucked up.

- I will never understand why some people eat things that are waaay too spicy for them to handle just to prove they can. Why make your digestive system suffer like that? (I mean its a different thing if you genuinely enjoy the spicy tastes. But just doing it to prove yourself? why???) Same with drinking a bunch of alcohol just because you can.

-Lima beans are awful and I have no idea how anyone can stand them. More power to you if you can I guess???

-Bright colorful and shiny things are awesome.

I don't think creators actively intend to be racist (Zootopia, Luke Cage, etc). I don't think they consider their stuff will be dissected even in our age of internet. I also know (because I have friends who are) there are people working their ways into the writers' rooms that are actively trying to change things about how stories are being told, but are being shut down by the old white guys still running the boys' club.

I know it's idiotic and lends itself to systemic racism. I also know it's hard for me to see the racism because I'm not subjected to it on a regular basis, and because I don't really know how to dissect TV/film the same way as written stories.

I don't think it should be used against me. I'm open to learning about the things, I want to learn about the things. But I think it makes my non-white friends think I'm an ign'ant whitey for not seeing it like them. It makes me not want to participate in those conversations. I want my friends to like me.
