I find this question wildly confusing so I'm just going to register my love for the version of A Christmas Carol starring George C. Scott. I think it's probably pretty terrible, but I love it. It is Christmas to Me.

Pretty much all of them outside of the Muppet Christmas Carol and Nightmare Before Christmas. I love holiday music and decorations, but movies not so much. Special hate goes to Wonderful Life, A Christmas Story, and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.

Not a movie or any sort of media at all, actually, but a game - charades. It's apparently a really pretentious/humiliating game? But I actually like it, as long as no one takes themselves too seriously.

Obvious/Stupid Realizations

Have you ever learned something that was so obvious that it made you feel like an idiot?

Today I learned that pistachios are green when someone brought in some baklava with some in it. I thought they were such a bright red color, that they would dye your hands red when you ate them. I know I've seen pistachios recently in stores before but I've never made the connection. I remember seeing pistachio ice cream and thinking it was weird that it was green because pistachios are red.

It is a bit justified. Apparently, pistachios used to be dyed red back when they were almost exclusively imported because they were ugly. But since the mid-80s, they have been mostly grown in CA and are kept their natural color.

The gym I usually go to has treadmills and stationary bikes and things with individual, built-in TVs that you can plug your headphones into. I'm out of town long-term for work and the branch of my gym I'm going to here, like a lot of the other branches I've been to, has separate TVs mounted on the wall above the treadmills. I think you can listen to them if you tune in to a certain radio frequency, but I don't have a way to do that so I turn the closed captioning on.

My new favorite thing is watching the real-time closed captioning on the Weather Channel and seeing all the bizarre mistakes that happen.

In their defense, there must be an auto-correct at work. Still, they come up with the most wonderful phrases:
