Can anyone give me an idea of what risotto tastes like? My uncle is paying for us to go out to a fancy restaurant tonight. And I was looking at the menu and the one thing that looked interesting was a tomato risotto with shrimp, but I've never had risotto before.

Am I alone in hoping Star Trek:Discovery bombs? I dont like the online subscription idea, or the overly serialized storytelling concept in Star Trek, nor the idea about it being some sort of edgy semi-reboot. I'd actually, unironically, want Gene's Utopian vision back rather than some more half-baked deconstructions.

Yes, of course I am, but I mean specifically relating to the following issue.

So if I'm in my room, on my own I can happily play vidya, or read or do whatever without feeling the least but uncomfortable or self conscious.

If I'm in the room with my girlfriend, and she's awake, as long as I'm wearing clothes I can do most of the same stuff without feeling the least but uncomfortable or self conscious.

BUT if I'm in the room with my girlfriend, and she's decided to go to sleep, or doesn't wake up until late afternoon, or if otherwise asleep when I am wide awake, I feel very wrong doing anything at all. Playing vidya, reading with the light on, just about anything that isn't also going to sleep. I can't fucking explain it, but I just can't relax at all. Is this odd? More importantly:

Am I alone in this?

Pretty sure most semi-sentient beings with a functioning sense of not being a complete dick think twice about doing things that might interfere with someone else sleeping while they're in the same room with that person.

Something I can spend a little bit of time reading, but no more video links of Orangs being cute please. Even I have my limit on those, and most of them are in portrait when even the Orangs know to switch over to landscape for video.

What have been or are some of your white whales aka that one thing you have been looking for forever and can't find.

Today, I found actual proof of a copy of Dante's Inferno that I was certain I had growing up. I've been looking for this version for years. I've probably asked about it on here and I've asked about on TOMT on Reddit. It was apparently a version from 1954 with this cover. Now I just have to see if newer versions are similar or if I will need to buy a used copy. I can now die knowing that I am not crazy and that version of the book I read as a child was real.
