I've gotten some ads for it in the mail so I knew it was happening, but I'm not a sports person so I'm personally never hyped and don't know who is even playing.

Who's playing could have something to do with it? Like if they are not teams people are generally fans of then they won't be all that interested. It also makes a big difference when "your" team is playing, then hype is always huge (this is also why I hate when teams from my city do well, but then I've also been sexually harassed by drunken sports fans and the last city I lived in had riots after sports games.)

Nobody really cares about Atlanta but New England is probably the most successful and controversial football team in the league and has been for like 15 years
