I don't think everyone watches Torchwood and then thinks all Welsh men are gay. I'm fairly certain most Americans understand that British people are individuals.

Gotta say, I adore the cross-over of shows. Take that Hollywood with you 24 episode runs, big budgets and amazing special effects. We paint people green and run around in Wales, and still fucking rock.

Seriously, Dr Who is the only thing for which I have any kind of British pride.
