33- Mello's I'm still getting used to (it isn't what I expected, although lately I can't think of what kind of voice I would have chosen for him.), but I absolutely love Near's voice. Which is weird since I'm not big Near fan normally.

GAH I ADORE NEAR'S VOICE SO FUCKING MUCH, IT'S SO PERFECT, AAAHHHH--
...s-sorry, I'm constantly fighting internally because I love Near's voice but I don't care about Near much at all, and yet I also hate the fact that his voice suits him better than Mello's suits him because I love me some Mello. ARGH I AM TORN.
Personally, I'd have given him a voice more like the one in this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ArB6RbuR6Is), in the scene starting at :53, he sounds too...frat-boy as is, imo. But that's just me, probably :/

Yeah, exactly my problem.

Mello sounds too...regular guy-ish to me, which isn't what he should sound like.

ARGH EXACTLY. If that voice=Mello, I think I spoke to him earlier this afternoon, he asked where the restrooms are :/
I mean, maybe he'll get a bit better with some practice, but...I honestly just can't see that happening. I hated Light's voice at first, but it grew on me as the VA got more used to the character and got better. That took twenty-something episodes. Mello's doesn't have twenty-something episodes. *headdesk*
