Peeps!

Marshmallow Peeps: if you have them where you live, do you like them? Hate them? Think they're cute, like their pretty colors, but never buy them because they're basically sweetened styrofoam (like I do)? Tell me about it, FS!

I used to like Marshmallow peeps a lot-- back when I was a child, I would eat them until I got sick, and that was the problem-- I think I may have sugar OD'd on them at one point, and then suddenly, I just grew to hate them.

I really think that it's just a rite of passage for kids-- you like them until you eat too many of them, and suddenly those little peeps are just not cool anymore.

Marshmallow Peeps are things that I get the occasional hankering for but once I have them, I'm always disappointed.

I tried them once. That was all I needed.

They are evil, spongy confections dusted with disgusting sugary powder and belong at the bottom of a trash heap. Or a microwave.

I like to put them in the microwave holding toothpicks as little swords.

Ugh. I can't stand them, so any time someone gives them to my family, they are the first thing to go to the office food bin.

The normal Peeps are too plain for me to enjoy. There are some fancy flavored ones with chocolate coatings this year that I want to try. I think that'll make them feel more like a complete candy.

I like them, especially the birthday cake flavored ones.

Like another anon said, I get a craving once in a while but they're always disappointing... far too sweet! Even when I was a kid they weren't my favorite.

they taste really gross IMHO. i vastly prefer other kinds of Easter candy.

I think they're cute to have sitting around, but they taste really gross. Like, all I taste is sweet. No marshmallow, no sugar, just sweet.

The only ones I like are these Sour Cherry flavored ones that I tried recently. I think the sourness and the cherry flavor cuts through the sweet a little and makes it actually taste like something.

they are objectively terrible but I still like them, especially if you leave them out for a couple of days so they get hard and chewy

I like 'em. But yellow classic style only! And let 'em sit open for a day or so and they get a little stale, then they're perfect. I am fully aware of how 'gross' they are, but eh. It's a once a year treat.

I eat Peeps when they come my way, which is almost never. I think the last time I ate one it was given to me by my Sunday school teacher. I have never and will never seek them out, but they're weirdly delicious in the way things so sugary and synthetic your mouth is surprised tend to be.

I like em in smores. Or just if they're the only Easter sweets in reaching distance. Not what I'd go to first.

But they are good in their own way I guess.

They're cute, and come in ever color and in different animals, now, too, apparently, but....

They are absolutely revolting.

I love looking for the mutant ones - the ones where the faces are printed going off the head, printed in the stomach (which made me wonder if they knew something about the anatomy of a Peeps rabbit that I didn't), one eye is drastically lower than the other, one eye on the back of the head, multiple eyes on the same side of the head (I saw a chick with two eyes on one side and a single on the other).

I always really want 1 box of yellow chicks. Not the 3 box packs, and not bunnies or any other shape, and definitely not pink or blue or some other color. 1 box of 6 yellow chicks. They make my teeth feel like they're melting, but their texture is so satisfying to me. I secretly like horrible marshmallow chicks more than regular marshmallows. And the smell of them bubbling in a microwave is great.

I like them. I know I probably shouldn't, because it's nothing but marshmallow and sugar, but I think it's a nostalgia thing - I'd get them once a year on Easter morning, and they'd usually be gone by the evening. These days, I far prefer chocolate or jelly beans or creme eggs (omg, creme eggs), and I don't buy Peeps, but when I get one, I enjoy my little trip down memory lane.

Dw, no. I hate marshmallows unless they are melted on a smore or a krispy treat. Peeps are just really gross to me. They are adorable, though.

I think they're cute and I'll eat one if offered, but I don't like them enough to buy them.

I feel loyal to them because they're made in my state! But I don't eat sugar concentrated like that. 😐

Something about their beady little eyes just irks me. I haven't touched one since I was a little girl.

You need to try Peeps roasted over a fire. It tastes better if the Peeps are hard (almost stale), when cooked. The sugar on the outside caramelizes and the inside gets warm and gooey.
I stock up on Peeps during the after Easter sale and use them when camping in the fall.
