Marshmallow Peeps: if you have them where you live, do you like them? Hate them? Think they're cute, like their pretty colors, but never buy them because they're basically sweetened styrofoam (like I do)? Tell me about it, FS!

I used to like Marshmallow peeps a lot-- back when I was a child, I would eat them until I got sick, and that was the problem-- I think I may have sugar OD'd on them at one point, and then suddenly, I just grew to hate them.

I really think that it's just a rite of passage for kids-- you like them until you eat too many of them, and suddenly those little peeps are just not cool anymore.

Marshmallow Peeps are things that I get the occasional hankering for but once I have them, I'm always disappointed.

I tried them once. That was all I needed.

They are evil, spongy confections dusted with disgusting sugary powder and belong at the bottom of a trash heap. Or a microwave.

Ugh. I can't stand them, so any time someone gives them to my family, they are the first thing to go to the office food bin.

The normal Peeps are too plain for me to enjoy. There are some fancy flavored ones with chocolate coatings this year that I want to try. I think that'll make them feel more like a complete candy.

So a while go I made request for "Arab-esque" fantasy - Thanks for the rec on that btw, loving "Throne of the crescent moon" who ever it was that recced it: Damn good shout. I'm still looking for fuel for this particular fire, if anyone has any other recs - And today I started kicking myself, because I had the 2008 "Prince of Persia" game almost completely unplayed gathering dust on my shelf for all these year.

"Well, that'll do" I think to myself.

You know what? I remember hating this game back in the day, probably because it's not really a Prince of Persia game. And yeah, the voice acting is very Nolan North but you know what? It's actually a damn fine game. Sure, not what I enjoyed about Prince of Persia but still a damn good game in its own right. I'm just amazed by how well the graphics have held up as well. Can't believe I wrote this game off completely.

Of this NCIS-Star Trek TNG Fanfic?

The Gibbs team accidentally find themselves in the future, no reason is given as the fic just starts with it having happened and them reacting to the Trek future. Gibbs and Tony are pretty blase about it (apart from Gibbs getting angry at the holodeck), McGee holes up in a room trying to learn 24thC computing code, and Ziva chills and decides to stay in the future because Palestine and Israel are peaceably united there.

Does anyone have a link to it? I thought it was on FF.net but I can't find it in the crossovers category there and searching on AO3 has been even less fruitful. If anyone knows, that'd be swell.

Boat video research questions.

Hi. I'm working on a fic and the characters have a boat, which is canonically a Sunseeker Martinique 39, and I cannot find a video walkthrough of this model at all. There are slideshow videos, videos of it roaring away from beaches, but for every other sunseeker model I've been able to find a walkthrough review or walkthrough sales video. Basically a vid with someone walking around and explaining the boat, which would really help me with descriptions and layout. Even sunseeker yachts doesn't have anything on their own site, although that is not unusual for them. Once they stop making a model they junk their sales literature.

Basically I am just wanting to know if anyone else out there in the F!S hivemind has ever bought one of these boats and videoed it, or if anyone else has seen a walkthtrough review for one. I really struggle with static images, which is all the pics or the slideshow videos have, they just don't register the proper depth perception or how the different photos relate to each other for me. I know I'm asking a lot, but F!S has always been good at finding the obscure information.

Looking to get into a new fandom

I am floating around fandom-less and have decided it's time to dive in somewhere. But nothing is really grabbing my interest lately. So, looking for recs!

I prefer TV shows for my fandom, with a strong leaning towards scifi and fantasy. Doesn't have to be new, but preferably a strong fandom so I can lose myself in looking at all the goodies.

Previous fandoms include X-Men, Gundam Wing, Stargate, Bandom (mostly Panic!), Teen Wolf, MCU/Avengers, and briefly Inception.
