There are fic authors whose style I prefer to my own-- things I struggle with seem to come easily for them, and there's a smoothness in reading their stuff whereas I always second-guess a lot of my phrasing.

But when it comes to originality, I still love my own creations best. My plots and scenarios and headcanons are always going to interest me most. I realize this is probably true for many writers, though.
