Mine was fucking awful!

Fine. It's the end of my work week, so I'm unwinding and trying to prepare for an exam tomorrow.

I hit my head this morning when I stood up and got dizzy and lost my balance because my legs are always stiff and unsteady when I first get up. It's been hurting all day.

Today my boss made us sign a 4 page contract with various new rules. Most of it okay. But he said we can only use the bathroom 3 times a day (during our two ten minute breaks and lunch) unless we have a note from a doctor.

He is the only male in our company (also the owner) with 11 female employees. So, unless we go to the doctor we can't use the bathroom more than three times a day even if we are on our period UNLESS we clock out for 15 minutes (for a two minute pee break).

We can only clock in at 15 minute marks (8:15, 8:30, 8:45, etc). And even if HE is late opening the shop (so he gets there at 8:16) we still have to wait until 8:30.

He also would not let us take a copy of the contract home. :/

That's hella fucked and probably illegal

I'd not have signed, tbh.

Anyone know an excuse I can give a doctor to use the bathroom more? My head is killing me because I usually drink 3 bottles of water a day (I have a labor intensive job) and could only drink 1 today so I did not have to pee.

sooooo many red flags.

definitely never sign something you can't keep a copy of. and know your labor laws especially if you work for a small business. it's hard to respond to something like that when you're not expecting it, though. :(

That's nuts. Even when I worked places where "clocking in" was literally punching a time card and breaks were formalized and limited, it wasn't that bad.

I've been waiting for two job interviewers to call. I can't leave the house for fear either will call, so I wasn't able to take my morning walk or go out to lunch. :(

I have to reject one of them (interview gave me bad vibes and it would be an awful schedule) if it is offered, and I am hoping the other one wants to hire me (the interview went near-perfect in my opinion, and it is fairly simple and flexible). It's making me really nervous, but the good one did give me a timeframe of "tuesday or wednesday," so tomorrow I will know for sure.

Kinda shitty. My husband is having a lot of stress at his job and it's stressing me out too. :(

Kind of shitty, but in the overall scheme of things it was okay. I got like two hours of sleep last night and then had a stressful morning being "re-trained" by one of our owners basically telling me how I've been doing everything wrong. Then after lunch I went back to my location and was completely thrown off because I hadn't been there all day and had no idea what was going on. And we have a big meeting to prepare for Thursday which I have not had a chance to sit down and prepare for at all.

But meh. Nobody actually yelled at me today, so compared to my job lately it was okay.

My state's on fire. Like, literal fire across thousands of acres and still going. Seven homes destroyed, a ton of people displaced.

That's terrible, I'm sorry you're having to go through that! I hope you get rains soon, anon.

it was pretty rough before 5:00 PM but got a lot better.

no single major thing was bad but lots and lots and lots of little things went wrong. :/

Flew home from Boston with a raging migraine. Also lots of turbulence. And a screaming baby 2 rows behind me. It was also a fucking awful day.

Mine was quiet. We'll see when my chicken wings are done - I made blue cheese sauce to go with it. I've had blue cheese with spicy chicken wings before, but it was just melted cheese, which ends up really runny and with a huge puddle of grease. This sauce is basically a simple white sauce (i.e. milk thickened with cornflour) with the cheese mixed into it.

Aye, it's Wednesday here. Just two more days until the weekend begins!
