DA

Not just that, but with some languages there's the issue of 'collections' of letters where the sound is unique to that language, and having grown up speaking it your mouth knows where to be to form that sound.

I wouldn't mock say, an Asian person butchering a Swedish name in the same way I wouldn't mock a Swedish person butchering an Asian name.

Unless they're mangling it on purpose, give them time and maybe repeat it a few times like, "Actually this part sounds more like [example]."

Getting a hair or a piece of popcorn husk stuck in the back of your throat where it's irritating as fuck without actually being painful and efforts to remove it make you gag.

So... speaking as someone who's friend gets frustrated with an example very similar to that one, when she says 'ah' to me, when I repeat it back, I hear myself saying 'ah'. She hears 'ay'. It's my natural accent and inflection and I am trying as hard as fuck to say AH because to me, I AM saying ah.

I'm using a pattern! Its the most popular Portal pattern online but I figure my brother will like it anyway. (found here: http://spritestitch.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=4914&view=unread#unread) I want to try designing my own patterns though, I just need to think of something.

Also that sounds cute! I have the same thing with the accidental stabbing though :p

Purely f/f incest. No brothers, fathers, boyfriends. Just mother/daughter, sister/sister, aunt/niece, whatevs.

Sounds fun! I was never able to learn to knit, but my SO loves it. And spinning your own yarn sounds hard, but like you could make some cool stuff once you learn.

What's a remaindered book sale?

Oooh, fun! What kind of experiments do you do with the baking?

Re: What is your favorite sandwich?

I suppose it's a toss up between tuna fish or sliced turkey with mustard and cheese. Bonus points for good bread like pumpernickel, multigrain, or whole wheat.

Runner ups would include lox with cream cheese without capers on a bagel, grilled cheese sandwiches, croque madames, ruben sandwiches, and falafel stuffed in a pita.

Vertigo.

I've never heard of paper mache clay! Googling it, it looks interesting though. I've made a few cosplay props in the past, but mostly just out of cardboard.

I bet selling them on etsy would be fun. Especially if they're cosplay props.

I liked to create my own recipes. I'll take a basic recipe and modify some ingredients.

I have a sugar cookie dough recipe that is great for making cutouts, but it's pretty bland (it's meant to go with icing). I've done it with orange extract, lemon extract, mint extract and for added flair, made chocolate chip mint cookies (and I dye them green).

I'll tweak different recipes with alcohol too, I have a recipe for rum and coke brownies but I've done it with jack and coke and also have adjusted the quantities to get a better flavor.

Woah that sounds fun! I've alway wanted to learn now to make plushes, and that character concept sounds really cool.

Jewish rye bread fresh from the bakery is my favorite with tuna fish, celery and lettuce.

In my experience it's not that much more likely?
And it doesn't bother me as much. It can be inappropriate, but if a woman is 5+ years older than me it's more likely to feel genuine and not condescending.

Nice! I tried crocheting once and I was never able to get the hang of it for some reason. I know what you mean about the scarves though - my SO knits and she's made like, everyone she knows a scarf :p

Sourdough bread, sliced turkey (smoked is best), bacon, mozzarella cheese, pesto or oil and vinegar, sweet pickles (or relish), tomato, red onion, and bell pepper, all grilled (or microwaved if I'm feeling lazy).

(Anonymous) 2017-04-04 01:52 am (UTC)(link)
That sounds perfectly reasonable to me.

Anything involving prosciutto and/or pepperoni.

I'll also take anything on Hawaiian bread, or anything with pulled pork.

Reuben sandwiches.

This is the stuff I tried.
I'll be seeing how it works in large quantities - my idea is to make Cloud's sword out of it. But so far it adheres to itself like nobody's business, and you can also use it in small molds.

The truth is I haven't considered selling cosplay props, because they generally seem like too much work to make cost-effective, you know? Like I'm building Cloud's sword, and I wouldn't sell it for less than idk, 300$? I have no idea if people would be willing to pay that kind of money...
And I'm not quite "in" anime fandom enough to know what's going right now, that I could just make it and have a decent chance of being able to sell.

At the moment I made a few small Jewish household items. I'm actually kind of terrible with coming up with things I can sell :X I'm so bad at making money.

OP

(Anonymous) 2017-04-04 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
I've seen that in Marvel fanart but other fandoms don't seem to do it. Some of these pairings are very twinky!

(Anonymous) 2017-04-04 01:56 am (UTC)(link)
I think the point they're making involves that this isn't really anything new or specific to minority groups. In that regard, she's receiving equal treatment, regardless of if that treatment is fair at all, since that's a different issue.

I'm not the OP but that's what I took away from it.
