I have been seeing cross stitch stuff on tumblr lately and I love the look of it. I love the nerdy designs especially. Did you design your own or use a pattern?

I've been trying to needle felt tiny cacti. It's good for my anxiety, though I do stab myself pretty regularly.

I'm using a pattern! Its the most popular Portal pattern online but I figure my brother will like it anyway. (found here: http://spritestitch.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=4914&view=unread#unread) I want to try designing my own patterns though, I just need to think of something.

Also that sounds cute! I have the same thing with the accidental stabbing though :p

I like to make simple macrame necklaces with hemp and shells/pebbles I find on the beach (after big winter storms is a good time to look, there's usually lots of shells and little stones with holes for stringing, and the occasional piece of sea glass). When I have enough I take them to the beach on busy weekends and sell them to tourists.
