So far I think the series has handled the topic very well and I agree about the atypical casting choice as a rape victim. I also liked how they're not making her perfect, if that makes any sense? She's not a flawless human being by any means, but they're careful to point out that none of this means she deserved to be raped. The two detectives pointedly shut down a fellow cop who starts up the usual what was she wearing, was she drunk spiel.
