The new girl I was training quit. So I will have to train another person. I HATE training people. I hate my job. :(

I'm going to have to start actually writing people up for things I've been telling them to fix/do repeatedly, which means I will also have to start doing a Coach & Counsel meeting, which means just so much awkward frustrating times and extra paperwork. We also just got the moral back up, so this isn't going to help with that at all.

If people would just listen to me the first three times I tell them to fix/do something, this wouldn't be an issue. >:(

I feel like being present in the moment might be harder for you right now but I see you taking a long walk and enjoying your surroundings and where you are in life soon xx

This comment has stuck with me all day. It's so bizarre; random yet kiiind of personal. Idk. It's freaking me out.

Oh sorry I wanted to see what it feels like to be a fortune cookie. Didn't mean to freak you out. :(

Aww, now I feel bad! With context of "kind fortune cookie anon" I think it's sweet, actually. My anxiety brain just ran away with the random no-context and it went to freaked-out space.

I really didn't mean to freak you out, I'm sorry. I'm like trying to be a kinder person but I am very bad at that and will take your icon's advice!

I need to actually find more work and make more money. Being sick less would also help.

I'm on nights this week with this guy who's really nice but can't multitask to save his life, and he complains about the workload being heavy but can't see that he's making it worse on himself. Ugh.

I kind of screwed something up today, but in the end things worked out better than if I hadn't initially screwed up, so I guess it turned out okay, and my bosses were fine with the situation, but I still feel kind of bad about it.

I probably need to just get over it, but that's easier said than done.

We only had three people working during my shift, and I had to spend two hours of it following a crazy hobo woman around while she kept trying to jam things in her coat pockets and bag. Finally I managed to shepherd her into the checkout line (she insisted she could pay), where she promptly pissed herself, dumped everything she'd been carrying, and shuffled out the door leaving a fucking trail of piss behind for me to clean.

I'm not paid enough for this shit. Especially not since my hours are fucking abysmal for management right now. Gaaaahhhh.

Ah! That is so exciting! I hope the new job is awesome (which I'm guessing it might be due to the little dance!)

Thank you! I hope it will be! I'll be doing admin-type work with the local school district, and there's a fifty-fifty chance it'll be at the school that's right across the street from me.
WALKING TO WORK! I could not be more chuffed. :)

Oh that's good news, congrats! You don't know me but I used to lurk here a long time ago and I always liked you so it's nice to hear you are happy. :)

I broke a big plate today. I opened the dishwasher and it just flipped out and smashed on the floor. Also, I shouted 'Shit!' really loudly, so that was bad too (I don't think any customers heard, but who knows).
To make it worse, not half an hour before the chef emphasised to me that the crockery wasn't cheap and I was to be careful.

I'm in the second month of a three month trial, and I don't think they'll keep me after. Mainly because I never seem to be working fast enough, even though I never actually stop? And they never tell me how to do things faster?
This is the first work I've had in three years. I don't think I can handle losing this job, even if my boss is a twat.

Arrgh, that sucks, Anon.

If they really are pushing you to be faster, call 'em on it. Tell them 'okay, I want to, what am i doing wrong that slows me down?' If they can't help you, then yeah, they're just being asshats. If they *can*, that looks good on you, that you're 'showing initiative', as they say.

Good luck!
