Failing the Texas bar. I studied as much as I could have. I think I got scared and tense and psyched myself out.

You should feel bad about that. It is Texas law. How hard can it be? It has only two strands to it. Death Penalty or Stood His Ground. And the tie-break between which is the correct legal finding is whomever has the biggest gun at the time. Texas only has one legal text, and that is VHS tape of The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance. Even Mad Max has a better functioning and more complex legal system than Texas.

Texas: the fuck 'em all state.

Not sure what point you are trying to make. I hate Texas, but that's where I live right now. And it is easier to find jobs in the state where you live with a bar license from that state. If I find a job somewhere else, I'd be super happy and be out of here.

If it is all the same anon, my impression is that they either hate Tolkien or at least the parts of Tolkien that I'm a fan of, and they are bothered by me bringing more Tolkien discussions to FS and want to scare me off? IDK.

Honestly, they're probably just bitter and jealous and hate you for some weirdly specific thing that makes them feel insecure and shitty about themselves so they lash out to get rid of that feeling. Also I always think your username is phil's star which makes me think of anuses for some reason? Idek, you seem cool so don't take it personal or I'll have to follow you around and say nice things whenever some anon is bitter at you.


Oh and I'm not any of the other anons in this thread. I don't think we've ever talked before.

I'm sorry to hear that! :( But just think, the next time won't be as hard because you know what to expect. If you keep trying, you'll get there.

Yup. I did the same thing the first time I took the Massachusetts bar (psyching myself out and over-stressing and not sleeping). I'm just trying to tell myself that it takes me two times per state to pass, and that I can do it next time.

Yep. You can do it. Heck, even if you take three times to pass! The upshot is...you can practice as a lawyer where you live. Not everybody can pass tests the first try.
