Maybe it's not entirely fair to judge her by what the media reports (and of course, by GOOP) but.. I wouldn't be surprised if she were difficult to work with. She doesn't sound very in touch with any sort of reality beyond her privileged, rich background and she has some really bizarre ideas. Steam cleaning your vagina, anyone?

Even if she is difficult to work with, she's probably not as difficult as Terrence Howard's crazy ass

I vaguely remember hearing something about him having his own bizarre version of math...

Thanks. It was bugging me that I couldn't remember the details of something this strange.

(Anonymous) 2017-05-24 11:46 pm (UTC)(link)
The future actor was studying chemical engineering at Pratt — but dropped out when he realized that he fundamentally disagreed with his professors about the basics of math. The argument focused on the simple equation of one times one.

"How can it equal one?" Howard asked Rolling Stone, and the universe. "If one times one equals one that means that two is of no value because one times itself has no effect. One times one equals two because the square root of four is two, so what's the square root of two? Should be one, but we're told it's two, and that cannot be."

*Blinks*

...what?

(Anonymous) 2017-05-24 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)
The whole 1 x 1 thing is part of a fundamental axiom of algebra. Anything times 1 is just itself, because you've got only one iteration of the number.

Why Howard couldn't work this out for himself is puzzling.

(Anonymous) 2017-05-25 02:36 am (UTC)(link)
Not that puzzling. I don't know if you've ever read his infamous interview with Rolling Stone, but it's... kinda obvious the man has some sort of untreated mental illness:

Figuring out the fundamental axiom of algebra is the least of his worries.

This is the funniest shit I've found out in a while.

(Anonymous) 2017-05-24 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Nayrt but to be fair, it sounds like Terrence Howard is schizophrenic, not just a diva.

(Anonymous) 2017-05-24 11:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Honestly, I had to Google it...

Also putting rocks in her vagina to tone it or something and doctors were like "No don't fucking do that"
That time she failed the SNAP program challenge and the Internet mocked her.
That time she whined about it was soooo hard being a working mom and Angelina Jolie told her to stuff it...(My personal favourite)

(Anonymous) 2017-05-25 12:53 am (UTC)(link)
Man, the thing about the rocks made me shudder because people could badly strain their pelvic floor doing something like that.

(Anonymous) 2017-05-25 02:39 am (UTC)(link)
Not to mention she has encouraged using jade eggs to ~detox~ your vag - and yeah jade is porous and will absorb bacteria... which will make it more dangerous to put in you. :/

(Anonymous) 2017-05-25 05:36 am (UTC)(link)
Then there's the crazy idea that your vagina needs detoxing... WTF? I think she believes in that ridiculous Master Cleanse bullshit, too.

Strange that both Paltrow and Terrence Howard have become infamous for their ideas of vaginal purity.

(Anonymous) 2017-05-25 05:48 am (UTC)(link)
I don't think it's fair to compare them at all. For Paltrow it seems to be very much a self-pampering/self-love kind of thing. I mean, her recommended ways of pampering one's vag may be ill-conceived, but for the most part I think it's coming from a positive place.

As opposed to Terrance Howard, who is just mentally ill and a raging misogynist. Like, I do not just throw around the word "misogynist," but for Terrance Howard it almost feels like we need a word that means "misogynist only even more so."

please, please tell me "steam cleaning you vagina" is some sort of metaphor.

(Anonymous) 2017-05-25 05:40 am (UTC)(link)
No, it's real.

After visiting Santa Monica's Tikkun Holistic Spa, where the treatment is offered for $50 a session, she told readers, "The real golden ticket here is the Mugwort V-Steam: You sit on what is essentially a mini-throne, and a combination of infrared and mugwort steam cleanses your uterus, et al."

She added, "It is an energetic release — not just a steam douche — that balances female hormone levels. If you’re in L.A., you have to do it."

That said, Women's Health researched the treatment and found out that there are potential negative side effects, including a disruption of the natural flora of the vagina, not to mention burns if administered incorrectly.
