I once had a guy stop dead in the street because it was summer and I was laughing. I thought that was pretty nice.

A random lady stopped me once in the mall and said 'I just want to tell you, you're extremely beautiful.' As someone who doesn't usually think of herself as beautiful (I'd probably say 'cute' if pressed) it made me really happy, especially since this was some years ago and my self esteem was pretty low at the time.

Someone told me that reading my writing was like listening to music. Nothing's ever been so encouraging.

I recently received a long message on fb (that I really need to respond to soon, but it keeps making me cry) from the granddaughter of someone I used to be in an acting group with. She's in her twenties now, but when I knew her she was pretty young. Apparently my willingness to be "weird" and "creepy" stuck with her since her childhood. She said she always remembered it and it helped her be who she wanted to be instead of how she was expected to be. She's got kids of her own now and is raising them with that philosophy as well.

I just thought that was pretty neat.
