I liked his storyline at first, but I hated how it ended up. I was expecting more. I hated the "twist" about his past. I had thought he was supposed to be redeeming himself for his daughter, not that other BS.

And I do love Alfredo, but I think even without him, Elementary does a decent job of having minorities in recurring roles? There aren't all that many recurring roles to begin with, and two of the main four cast are Poc (Joan and Bell) with their families/significant others.

Evil ganglord genius, using broken WWII-era encryption to communicate orders from his consulting firm. (And not even NSA-broken, we're talking a system that was broken in WWII and can be brute-forced by Joan's cell phone.)

In short, this season was a bit of a disappointment all around, with many of the major issues left on a cliffhanger.
