I think the actor decided he wanted to leave the show at some point and they had to write him out. But I agree it was awkward. Not as awkward as the first guy, though!

I didn't know it was Nelsan Ellis until his official twitter account started following me. (I'm a nobody. Just was interacting with the writer's account one time.)

I totally agree about bringing back Alfredo. I really liked his character.

I'm sure he hits a character growth stride eventually, but I'm in mid-August and have to shout "SHUT UP RYUJI" most of the time when he's on screen. Guh, so much of what he does rubs me wrong.

Don't have an opinion yet on the obvious traitor, because mid-August, but I can see the appeal if there isn't months and months of "WHY DO YOU KEEP SAYING GROSS, OBNOXIOUS THINGS?!" attached... well.
