I felt really really crappy this morning (emotionally speaking) but I feel slightly better now for some reason. So that's nice at least. Going to hang out with a friend this afternoon as well so that should be nice too.

Eh. Got up late, which was nice, because I was way behind on studying. Spent most of the day studying, but at least I got some sleep.

Couldn't sleep well enough, did my group run which was great! But the humidity got to me. The gal I ran with kept going on, I told her it's all right while I tried to settle. The mantra (besides 'enjoy the journey') is to not leave someone behind. I knew there was another person chugging along to, so I slowed down enough to run with him.

Got a headache later on but oh well!

My weird cat pissed in my bathroom sink, because apparently she was too lazy to go out the cat flap and do it outside like usual. It took me a while to work out where the smell was coming from. But what's weirder is I'd just watched the episode of Breaking Bad where Walter pisses in his kitchen sink, and as I was rinsing it away all I could think was that maybe Walter White broke into my house and peed in my sink and I actually got freaked out for a second.

Anyway, at least she didn't do it on the carpet..

On the plus side, my mother helped me get a new bed from Ikea and build it up so I get to sleep on a brand new mattress tonight, my room looks almost tidy, and me also picked curtains for my window and a box to grow vegetables, so it's great!
On the minus side, the way she constantly forced me to have it her way with food these last two days and trying to organize everything in my house to her liking with absolutely zero regard to my concerns even when I said no, no, and no, or at least please please please later was... tiring, and I'd rather not dwell on it lest I'll devolve into incoherent ramblings when all I want is to enjoy a good night's sleep in my brand new bed.

I bought a thistle-seed feeder (goldfinches love the things). Label said "Mr. Canary--woman-owned." Huzzah, thinks I, supporting a company and a thing made by women.

It is so poorly engineered that when I went to hang it up, the top popped off and the whole thing (other than the top) fell down... into my window well. Which entailed a trip to the basement, a feat of monumental control to NOT end up with a giant mess from seed detritus and leaves in said window well on the floor of my library, a vacuum job, and the loss of about 1/3 of the seeds.

We ended up taping the top to the seed tube. So that was fun.

On the plus side, we've had a pair of beautiful lesser goldfinches at the feeders today since I hung it, so.
