I usually play on normal so it's neither too boring nor too grueling for me. If you're only into a game for the story and hate any kind of challenge, then why not save your money and watch a youtube playthrough instead? People have pretty much uploaded every possible path for every game out there. Though if you're so bad at games that even the easiest mode is a challenge, then that's a different story. So long as there's at least some challenge then it's still a game.

Not that I really care what people do. I just don't understand spending money on a game you don't actually want to play when you could watch someone else do it for free.

Don't some story games have different stories depending on your actions though? Plus there is a big difference between getting to unlock the story yourself vs. watching someone else do it. It just really varies how much work you want to do to unlock the story.

Like I said, you can find pretty much every choice and ending for every game out there. Even really obscure games have full playthroughs on youtube. Most games are pretty linear, and you're only given the illusion of real choice. If there's different endings or paths, it's only a few, you can easily find them online.

However, I can see someone wanting to do this for a game that is constantly heavily affected by the choices you make, but there aren't too many of those. Like I can see wanting to play The Witcher 3, Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas on easy instead of watching youtube because you're frequently making choices that affect the rest of the game.

Good luck finding actual quality playthroughs without annoying lulzrandom commentary.

I've had no problem with this for the games I've chosen to do this with.

There's a huge difference between "don't actually want to play a game" and "don't want to get frustrated by working too hard at game".

That you can't see it means you're probably part of the problem.

Nope, cause I never suggest to anyone to play higher difficulty unless easy mode doesn't include important parts of the game, like the true ending. I can have an opinion without proselytizing.

I've even played easy mode on some games, once because my PTSD kinda brain damaged me for a little while and I couldn't handle the mental rigor of a detective game I was playing. Even on the easist mode I still had to use a guide. I'm definitely not the sort to make fun of, or even look down at people who play on easier modes.

OP said they only play games for the story, so I think I'm interpreting it more or less along the lines of the information they've given us.
