...because a man isn't allowed to be important to someone and be their driving reason for carrying on through a tough or unpleasant situation?

I think it's because the original sign being covered is http://i2.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/facebook/000/509/312/a1e.png

HERE has the E covered to make it HER.

You can't cover a letter on HERE to make it HIM.

Nice try.

The meme is specific to a female character and literally makes no sense if you change it to "him". There are a million other ways you can express the same sentiment, so it's not as if banning it from being used for men would render such feelings inexpressible via memes.

No, it's more kind of a pedantic/Simpsons fan thing to me. The picture says "Don't forget, you're here forever" under the photos, so having it say "him" basically misses the point of the whole thing.

You anti-SJWs get just as triggered as SJWs themselves.

This has nothing to do with misandry. The sign underneath in the original episode said "Don't forget, you're here forever", which Homer covered up with pictures of his daughter so it looked like it said "Do it for her" instead. When you change the word to him, the sign would have to say "Don't forget, you're him forever" which is bizarre and nonsensical.

Well, but wouldn't that fit?

I mean, it's Doctor Who, which is bizarre and nonsensical, but also, isn't the Doctor all of the incarnations of the Doctor? Isn't the Doctor him forever, in a sense?

Uh, no. You're not allowed to refer to the Doctor as "he/him" anymore, it's "they/them".
