But isn't this exactly what fanfiction was made for? There's no reasonable way to fit it into the actual narrative, and that's why you explore the possibility exhaustively through fan work.

Sansa? The last thing I heard about any potential of that pairing is that Sophie was really against it and there is really nothing leading up to it.

They've already set Jon up for another incest pair that involve sex. Once is enough. I don't see him fucking even more relatives in the remaining episodes of the last season.

Seems so strange to say but almost every pair involving main characters in this show is now incest.

Well that tends to happen if you mostly have classic aristocratic characters as the main cast where everyone is somehow related so someone else. Noble houses tend to be a pretty inbred bunch.

Cousins are alright in my book, especially in a context like this. Aunt/nephew somehow still hits the ick factor.

In this context, that's debatable.

I mean, what's worse? An aunt and a nephew who have NO IDEA they're related, or two cousins who were raised as siblings? Is it really any better to look at someone at some point and go "Oh thank goodness we're less related, I haven't boned anyone lately"?

In general, I would say cousins is less squicky, but I could see Jon/Dany happening because they just don't know. I could probably see it happening even after they know, because they didn't grow up with each other, and weren't raised as family. I doubt they'll make the connection that inbreeding is bad for babies, but if they did, Dany believes she's barren, so that wouldn't matter anyway (even though "I'm barren and these dragons are my only children" is probably GoT speak for "I'll be knocked up next year").

I have zero hope of it actually happening but I love the chemistry between the actors. It's this quiet but palpable thing that really compliments their scenes together.
