I enjoy some terrible, badly made movies, but if you try to tell me something like Minions or Battlefield Earth is Oscar worthy, I'm going to think you know shit about movies as an artform.

You don't HAVE to, and you could be genuinely trying to improve, just stop trying to act sophisticated because this is a discussion about ~worthy movies.

Ha I'm a snob about that too. Like the people who say a Marvel movie should get an Oscar. Give me a break, those movies may be fun, but none of them is particularly impressive as a movie.

I am the polar opposite of you. I LIVE in jeans, and all my favorite fashion bloggers wear a ton of denim. Ripped, distressed, deconstructed, cuffed, double-cuffed, dark wash, bleached, skinny, straight, white, black, grey, blue, whatever. Give me ALL the denim goodness. Nothing is as fashionably chill as denim, IMO.

I'm a bit of a literary snob. I am 100% down with people enjoying things that are not "good", but boy do I get snippy (internally if not externally) when people praise books as being "good" when the books are nothing of the sort. Like praising the writing, or worldbuilding, or plot development.
Most books are not actually all that good; doesn't make them less enjoyable, though.

I am the exact same way. I don't judge people for the types of books they favor, but I do take issue with it when people can't/won't/don't differentiate between "delicious bit of pulp" and "give it the booker/pulitzer/governor generals!"

Distressed jeans are terrible. The recent trend towards jeans with everything between mid-thigh and mid-knee torn out? That is 10,000x worse.
Those aren't distressed. They're distraught.

Pockets longer than your shorts. Like, I don't GAF how short your short shorts are, but I cannot stand the look of pockets just hanging out down below the hem of the shorts. It's just WRONG.

Games. I have some guilty pleasures that I still play through nostalgia goggles even though I know they're terrible, but I have several friends that put games like Call of Duty on a pedestal and genuinely think they're the pinnacle of game design and I just don't get it

Cooking from scratch. I'm not really so much of a snob because I don't expect the whole world to do it, but I'd be very disappointed in myself if I, say, used cake mix.

Food stuff. Not that you have to have the most expensive and best, but things like
If the focal point of the sandwich isn't cheese, it's not a cheese sandwich. If it's a bun and beef patty and slice of cheese, it's a damn cheeseburger not a grilled cheese.
I loathe "Three ingredient recipes!" where one of the 'ingredients' is like... an entire order of Chinese lo mein takeout.
Most anything that describes itself as a 'skinny' version. I saw a 'skinny' pumpkin pie that was the standard can recipe with one egg removed. Compared to half the Thanksgiving standards, a regular pumpkin pie's about as close as you can get to health food. And don't even get me started on all the woo-woo about 'health' food.

Coffee shops that take great care in their coffee sourcing but charge equivalent amounts for $0.20 supermarket tea.

Chocolate. If it's milk chocolate, it has to be high quality (none of that shit you get at Easter/Christmas/Valentine's Day that's mostly sugar and corn syrup and only flavored with shitty cocoa powder), if its dark chocolate its at least 65% cacao.

Crappy clothing from "fast fashion" clothing stores. I don't judge other people for where they buy their clothes, but whenever I set foot in those types of stores I just find almost all the merchandise really off-putting for how cheaply made it is.

Places like Sirens, Ardene, Urban Planet, and Urban Behavior are the worst, imo. Forever 21 is on the border. H&M seems to be all over the place, with the cheap crap and the better quality items all mixed annoyingly together.

I'm also a natural fibers snob, which ties in very directly to my dislike of the above-mentioned stores. I dislike the use of synthetic fibers in clothing the majority of the time. A little bit of synthetic to help a garment keep its shape can be good, but overall I'm a fiend for cotton, wool, silk, leather, and cashmere if I can afford it.

I'm trying to think of something, honestly... and failing. I'm so un-snobby, it's ridiculous.

Although, I do get a little judge-ey when people don't know really obvious things about geography. I once knew someone (a university-educated 30-year-old, ffs) who didn't know where Bangkok was.
