114. You know, you'll only "never have that with any other book series" if you TELL yourself you won't. They are some really good books out there, series or not! Maybe you might not wait with bated breath for the next book (though with some series, that's still a possibility, if you find the right one), there are plenty of good books to keep you going through the night. ;) Just keep looking!

132. I was sad at both. I loved Light as a character, but I was sad that L couldn't stop him, and had to die in such a way... it was a total waste. But then, so was Light going over the deep end. Argh, tragic series is more tragic than most people consider. ):

142. Uh, okay, there's really no problem with being a little overweight, but if you are UNHEALTHY? That's NOT something to be proud of. It's fine to be proud of yourself, to be secure in how you look and like it, but that song? Is not about being obese and having health problems. It's about being overweight and not giving a crap if other people are going "OMG YOU DON'T WEIGH 100 POUNDS U FATSO!!!!" It says nothing about not giving a crap if you're, yanno, slowly killing yourself with your weight.
Be proud of yourself, but be proud of yourself as being skinny as much as you were the way you were. That song's about being proud of yourself, no matter what, and you're still the same person- just healthier, which means you have the chance to be happier.

151. See, it's when you start saying "I WILL BE GOD" that you're fucked. And stupid. And dangerous, which is where I think Light went wrong. It wasn't his killing people on death row that was bad (wtf, police, at hunting him down for THAT one), it was him snapping and having delusions of grandeur.
A world with a Death Note would probably not be the best place ever. But a world ruled under total tyranny of a person who could kill anyone they wanted, at any time, would be hell.
152. M-me too, orz. I can't help but thinking "arse" sounds silly if not being said by a European person (or character), and I even tend to avoid ass and butt if it's not a scene that's meant to be kind of sharp and dirty, or kind of amusing. Otherwise, for just sensual or sexy things, I tend to just... skim over the silly sounding words. XD
FUN GAME: TRY TO THINK OF ALL THE BODY PARTS YOU CANNOT NAME DURING PORN WITHOUT IT SOUNDING RIDICULOUS. GO ON. TRY IT. Too much unsexiness in the English language, h-haha. XD;
154. Not gonna rant or anything, but I just- okay, seriously, how can you hate an entire storytelling medium? There are animes about pretty much anything for any audience and age range. It's kind of like saying "I hate all books!" or "I hate all movies!" At least to me, anyway. :/

And yet there are still people who wish he'd won. Wtf. (Sure, most of them are just people who think they're hardcore for supporting Light, and may grow out of it sooner or later, but still.)

It's why he's the main character, I think, and why I can understand how his death could hit people harder than L's- L was the good guy, but the antagonist of the story, and not the story's focus. He was not tearing himself down; he was doing his job, he knew it was dangerous, and his own death was a bitter loss and very sad, but it was not as horrible, psychologically, as Light's slide from a normal kid to the twisted person he became by the end of things.
No debate, Light was fucked up and he was very much the bad guy. But the story to me was less about the epic struggle between the good guys and the bad guys, or any moral ambiguity, and more following a person on their slide into madness, self-destruction, and death. I'm glad he didn't win, and he deserved what he got, but no one deserves to get so messed up that they get to the point where they deserve that. If that makes sense. XD;
SORRY TO TL;DR YOU, I THINK ABOUT THESE THINGS TOO MUCH.

I'M NOT TRYING TO GET INTO AN ARGUMENT THOUGH, UH. XD Yeah, I see where you're coming from on just not enjoying the art styles in anime and manga, rather than going "IT ALL SUX!" due to stories/characters/plot what have you, since the Lol Storytelling Medium thing. ;;
