Not to be a bitch, but saying that after the damage is done doesn't really help. That was a horrible, very personal and CRUEL attack on someone, and it was just plain careless not to look at that secret closely enough to realize what was going on.

I mean... it doesn't really help to yell now, but I'm just furious because I have a very hurt friend and the whole situation is just fucked up.

I do look at the secrets, but I don't know every fandom; I can't tell if names are people or characters until somebody tells me. All I can do is take things down and that's been done.

I don't even get what's so terrible about "I'm afraid of this person" "this person is a pedo" -- what? I assume it's not true so -- I'm kind of confused.

Like I said above I don't know every fandom/bnf/personal icon and often can't tell if names are people or characters -- I'm not sure what else I CAN do to be more careful. If there IS something else I can do, please let me know.

I don't know if there's much more you CAN do, except for like... when in doubt, don't link it? Many of those were personal pictures OF the girl in question, you know?

As for how it doesn't seem that bad to you... public ridicule always sucks. Period. And for a woman with two children to be called a pedophile in a public setting, on a graphic with her *face* on it? Awful!

(I hope this doesn't feel like I'm jumping all over you - I don't mean to attack you, I'm just trying to explain why we're so frustrated. Obviously, this frustration would normally be directed at the secret maker. But because the secrets are posted anonymously, and because you provide the forum for people to post anonymously, you have to take some responsibility for the content.)

heidi, you can't cry about it and call people motherfucking stupid if she's posting the graphic publicly in her own journal. obviously she doesn't care about having her face out there because it's on a million of her icons and then she writes fic with child porn.

plus, look how many icons she has that are celebrating herself. it's normal to use an icon with a photo after meeting a celebrity. it's not normal to use this many icons, even if someone else made them of her, with text that implies that the celebrity loves her, wants her, is her new best friend... and then freak out when people criticise her for it.



and these, which are pretty self-aggrandising, too.



she is always whining about how everybody hates her (and jared), but she obviously loves herself enough for everyone else combined.
