Flying, but only sort of. I know in my heart of hearts I'm far more likely to die driving to work, but it's the lack of control with air travel that gets me, I suppose. It ratcheted up a bit after that one pilot decided to suicide everyone into the mountains.

Thankfully, I've been on so many long-haul flights that engine noise puts me right to sleep, so it's, like, fifteen minutes of nervous followed by a few hours of sleep. XD

...somewhere along the lines I picked up my father's old Air Force habit of saying Hail Mary's as the plane's taking off.

Planes. I loved flying as a kid. Then I developed vertigo and a phobia of heights.

Heights. I remember climbing this ancient, rickety staircase wrapped around a dome when I was a kid and thought I was the shit for making it all the way to the top. Now I just think about how easily I could've broken my neck if it had collapsed.

Poverty. I'm so fucking scared of poverty.

It's somehow even worse because all of my friends are doing very well but one thing after another keeps going wrong for me and I'm already floundering.
