Re: What didn't scare you as a kid...

Flying, but only sort of. I know in my heart of hearts I'm far more likely to die driving to work, but it's the lack of control with air travel that gets me, I suppose. It ratcheted up a bit after that one pilot decided to suicide everyone into the mountains.

Thankfully, I've been on so many long-haul flights that engine noise puts me right to sleep, so it's, like, fifteen minutes of nervous followed by a few hours of sleep. XD

...somewhere along the lines I picked up my father's old Air Force habit of saying Hail Mary's as the plane's taking off.
