Oh god, I know. I avoid fandom politics, but sometimes watching from the sidelines can be so juicy. Oh fandom never change.

(I will be shocked if fandom woobifies the black guy. I swear I have never seen a fandom woobified non-white male character?)

I would say Mordo from Doctor Strange, to keep with the MCU theme. Definitely woobified in a lot of fics. I suspect it will continue even if he appears as the villain or antagonist in the second movie. Though, he was already kind of a woobie in the first movie.

I'll admit I find no reason not to woofify him as of now, as he didn't do anything terrible in the first movie and is played by Chiwetel Ejiofor.

What's with all the furries tonight?

(Anonymous) 2017-10-29 11:05 pm (UTC)(link)
I gotcha ;)

If you stayed through the credits, he did. :(

Um, Finn?

(Anonymous) 2017-10-29 11:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Doesn't he come pre-woobied?

(Anonymous) 2017-10-29 11:18 pm (UTC)(link)
DA

I think most really popular woobies come pre-woobied to a certain extent.

I mean, I'm sure a lot of anime guys are woobified and most of them are Japanese.

Cartoon/anime Asians are white passing so they don't count as PoC (according to SJWs). It's all about how dark their skin is, not their race.

(Anonymous) 2017-10-30 04:41 pm (UTC)(link)
I would argue that it's more that 'POC' is a Western framework describing a specific phenomenon in a specific context and it doesn't really make sense to apply it universally to all cultures?
