I like Non me lo so spiegare (the version with Laura Pausini) but it's more of a break-up song.
Something more in the folk direction would be Angelo Branduardi and I love his music a lot but he doesn't have an overwhelming number of love songs. Very pretty though.
I also really like A Chiara Piace Vivere by Gemelli Diversi. Also "Mary" - great song but very dark topic.
