I can ignore the toxic fandom of a show as long as they aren't into anything real disgusting (Pedophilia/Incest/Other bad things) but I'm going to have to agree with OP about the writing. I'm clinically depressed, and if what I've heard is correct, most of the writing is "Nothing matters, everything is pointless, you could literally die and be replaced by a clone and no one would notice because of how little you matter". I already deal with those thoughts on a daily basis and if I try to watch a show where every episode beats you over the head with that, it would not be pretty
