Being a responsible adult. Let's leave it at that...

Using a knife and fork together. I am like a toddler when trying to use those two together.

Apparently writing a resume.

Cooking potatoes in general but especially mashed potatoes, I can never get it right.

Maths, but I've got dyscalculia so that makes it a lot harder.

Talking to people in-person or meeting new people.

I've said this here before. I couldn't successfully thread a needle if you put a gun to my head.

Same. If anything of mine needs sewing and whatnot, I'll just be like, "Well, time to buy new clothes" instead.

(Or, unless the holes/buttons missing/etc. in some piece of clothing are big enough to where it'd be an awkward problem, I'll just keep wearing it where possible. If it's not noticeable, who gives a crap?)

Phone calls. After eventually getting over the anxiety to make the call, I talk way too fast and trip over my words and sound like a total idiot.

This. I find myself making notes/mentally practicing if I have to make a cold call or I'll get flustered and forget why I called/how to use my words.

I feel so stupid doing it, I had to make a simple call to a customer today to tell her that her book had been delivered and was ready to pick up. I honestly just went "Hi yeah um your book is ready to collect so please pop in whenever you're ready, ready to collect it. Thankyoubye." I will happily do any transaction/process face to face rather than by phone. :(

Talking on the phone in general, but especially leaving messages. It all just makes me feel so anxious. I stammer, forget details and frequently go into a full-blown panic attack, especially when the call/message is important and/or with a stranger. Even when I manage to get things right, I end up completely drained afterwards. Don't know why I'm like this, but I've always been this way. On the upside, my parents never complained about the phone bills.

Writing essays, even really small ones. I always got A's, the few times when I actually did manage to get through writing one, but I just...somehow I can't get my head around them and I've never been able to. Like, I can write just fine - well even - but as soon as you impose any sort of structure on the writing, my mind just completely grays out. Essay writing isn't even like writing to me. It's like a completely separate activity that also happens to involve the use of language.

Also, reading quickly. I can't. Everything above 250 wpm is just nonsense to me. I read challenging fiction. I read Ulysses, Gravity's Rainbow, Foucault's Pendulum. Tricky shit. I just read it all very, very slowly.
