Ones with walnuts or pecans, but not with macadamia nuts or raisins.

Also, those sugar cookies with the translucent sprinkles that seem to only be available during the holiday season.....damn I'm gonna go buy some tomorrow.

I like soft cookies. Snickerdoodle, peanut butter, and ginger snap are my favorite flavors.

But ginger snaps are hard. That's why they're called ginger snaps!

Snickerdoodles. Chocolate chip. Ginger cookies.

Also, purely for the purposes of dipping into coffee, Stella D'Oro original and Margherite cookies.

Yep. These are the best. :D

We make a few batches every year for Christmas. Everybody loves them.

Yup. And they taste better the longer you have them sitting in a tin or whatever, so i generally make a big batch and have them over until the new year.

Good old fashioned chocolate chip is definitely #1 for me. There's also this chocolate cookie with peanut butter filling that I like to make sometimes.

ANZAC biscuits are always good (and never called "cookies"), a good chocolate chip can be a welcome treat, Arnotts Kingston, Monte Carlo, and Scotch Finger are good stuff, Tim-Tams will always be epic, especially when slammed.

There was a magazine pull-out Mum kept years ago that seems to have since been lost that had a recipe for some biscuits (cookies) that had lemon rind, finely chopped glacé ginger and condensed milk in them. It was specifically noted as the recipe making up 150 biscuits and when measuring out dough onto baking trays it specified using a teaspoon.
I wish I could find that recipe again because they were great little things.

Girl Scouts Thin Mints (the ones sold in the north by little brownie bakers, if I'm not mistaken)
Girl Scouts Trefoils

Italian cookies with the sprinkles, Italian cookies with the chocolate chips

a good chewy and soft oatmeal raisin cookie
a chips ahoy regular chocolate chip cookie
pepperidge farm dark chocolate milano cookies, chessmen, and strawberry centered ones.

those cookies with the raspberry filling in the middle

I miss the Greek cookies my grandmother used to make, especially "melomakaronia," a rich orange and cinnamon flavored butter cookie soaked in honey syrup and rolled in chopped nuts. We get them now from a bakery in New York but they're not the same.

I also like snickerdoodles, speculaas, raspberry thumbprints, chocolate crinkles, Thin Mints, kourabiethes (a clove-flavored butter cookie similar to pfeffernusse) and kringla.

I haven’t made them in years, but once I bought some chocolate chip cookies with dried cherries and walnuts in them, decided they didn’t contain enough chocolate or cherries, and made my own recipe, swapping cocoa powder for some of the flour, doubling up on the cherries, and leaving out the nuts.
