Re: What fandom opinions do you hold that will never change?

ALL OF THIS! Yes, i was always so angry with Giles for not doing *something*. ANYTHING. He had contacts, he *could* have gotten in someone like the coven from season seven to talk with Willow or bind her magic for a little bit, or *something*. So frustrating.

And when she and Xander cheated, and Oz said 'i think you want to talk to me to make yourself feel better' - that was it. Right there. That was Willow top to bottom and it *never changed*.

I loved Dawn. I don't care. She *was* a teen: she was stupid and impulsive and thought she was invulnerable and in the end, she was so smart and capable and good, i just loved her. And Xander had his good moments, here and there, but my fic-Xander is nothing like his generally jerk-ass show-self. (Though I blame a lot of Xander on the fact that Whedon said he lost interest in the character and basically abandoned him about season five....)

Ah! "Brendon : That really is admirable. Because after about Season Five on [Buffy], or the end of Season Four, I was that guy. [Buffy creator] Joss [Whedon] actually said Xander was done"”that there was no more. I was just kind of relegated to the background. It was one of those things that, where I was at in my life, the money was more important than my pride or taking care of myself. [Leaving], especially as the show's just starting to take off...."

I tried very hard to be fair to Willow in my fics, but.... It was hard, and didn't always work.
