I was talking to my dad's friend the other day (who grew up in the 60's/70's) and we were talking about how, I dunno... dull most clothing is this these days, at least where we live. Not the high-end fashion stuff, but just what people wear day-to-day. There's no colour, no pizazz, it's all pastel and neutral and rose gold accessories right now and I just find it so boring.

Well... sure. Because most of my every day fashion needs involve me being professionally dressed for work, which is more about looking suitable while being relatively comfortable and not about fashion or individuality. Kudos to the people who can dress like a professional AND still be unique and fashionable, but we can't all pull that off.

Props to you first of all, because the absolute extent of my ability to look professional is putting my hair up and wearing a nice necklace, lol. I generally meant just day-to-day stuff, like what people wear when they're not working, those kind of tones just seem to be really in right now and I like my colour. :(
