Re: How do I figure out if a girl is into girls?

Just focus on getting to know her better, just as you would anybody else you think you might click with. That means just chatting with her before/after the group, extending an invitation to prepare beforehand or discuss stuff later in a more casual setting, seguay from "chatting about group" to the typical "getting-to-know-new-friend" banter of where you both are from, what you're both into free-time and entertainment wise. And then extend an invitation to go spend some of that free-time together. If she doesn't bite, drop it. If she says yes, and that goes well, awesome, keep doing that. If she never reciprocates an invitation, then she's not interested in more - so you could gradually just drop it without making it a big deal. If she DOES reciprocate an invitation, then you've got someone who is at least interested in being friends with you. Awesome! Worst-case-scenario is you now have a hot friend. Best case? She's also into girls. How to find out? Well, I find it works to casually drop the name of an actress you find hot in conversation. That way, if the reaction is positive, either in a "yeah she's hot" or a "actually, I prefer Other Actress" way, you can start flirting and see where stuff takes you. Either she's into you, in which case, awesome, or she's gay or bi but NOT into you, in which case, hey, at least you have a fellow queer friend! Yay! If the reaction is "OMG, ew, you don't mean YOU find her hot, do you?" you can take safety in a white lie like "oh, no, I just meant I wish I looked like that" to stay in the closet if that's what you want.

Good luck.
