This response bothers me. I understand your points, I accept your premise that many people want to have kids.. but "most people do" and "overwhelmingly normal" just rub me the wrong way. I'm sure it's not your intention, but the emphasis that society puts on being normal makes it seem that you're saying it's NOT normal to not want babies, so not wanting babies is BAD. At least, that's how I'm interpreting the connotation of your statement.

...you're a dude. You could have a kid at 70 like Mick Jagger did if you want. Why are you worrying about that stuff?

Same lmao. But I don't usually see similar art styles in anime whose manga don't also have similar styles, even when by the same studio. Are the manga styles this similar too??

I still can't get over how actually nonstick Curtis Stone's DuraPan frypans are! I've cooked eggs with cheese, various meats, and rice in them and even when it looks like the food got burned onto them, I just have to let it sit in the heat a bit longer before I scrape the residue off then wipe the pans clean.

There's been a clarification, and you are indeed correct. They are talking about in-game behaviour.

Apparently there's been a clarification, they are talking about in-game behaviour.

A still a little dystopian, but it's their game, they have the right ban whoever.

At said, with Wizards of the Coasts recent decisions, I do worry about these trends.

The only reason the show had so much hype before it even began was the gay shipping, Dory.

Doesn't Uncle Alec end up buying her earrings, though?

Sure. But the problem is when the specific stories being told about regret or changing one's mind prop up stereotypes. That's why I said I'm particularly annoyed by stories that portray a woman's choice not to have children as a selfish mistake.

Or, here's another way of looking at it. I'm reaching the age where I'm pretty sure I'll never be a doctor. It's not impossible, but my age and the amount of schooling involved means that it's no longer likely. That's a regret that I have.

I'm probably going to see ten "regret over not having kids / not prioritizing romance or family" plotlines before I ever see a "regret over choosing a different career" plotline.

YOI is the best selling anime of all time

oh lord

Maybe if Japan wants more kids they could stop overworking people and enforcing rigid gender roles that make it harder for men and women to date. And to not expect women to give up their careers to have kids.
