Afraid we're not that organised. There used to be a forum, not too long after the first books came out, but I think it closed a while ago. It's been a long time since I saw any fic from it... :( Someone needs to write more! I've got the Battlestar Galactica gang settled into my brain at the moment, so I can't.

I guess the Archadian imperial family doesn't have the greatest track record though. And hey, they did give him bunches of potions!!

I don't know how familiar you are with this canon, but what I mean by "doing it wrong" is that at least three-quarters of the fic in existence involves either straight-out rape, some form of physical abuse, or shota-con.

little_calico's "In Haec Verba" has sold me on the last, though it's not at all my headcanon, but the first two are almost impossible to get to work properly. Also, the rape is either poorly-executed rape kink or angst bait, rather than something that could be explored for character depth. I'm looking for persuasion and emotional abuse, because that seems like a far more effective and IC method of seduction.

116. God, TV Tropes. So addictive, but it can also send me into such nerd rage, sometimes. The entire section on Canon Sues, for example.

124. Mary Sues/Gary Stus really don’t belong in canon series. Original rules have different guidelines compared to fan fiction. In fan fiction, when an OC gains incredible characters and tears into center stage, unless the author is really talented, it usually turns readers off. When a protagonist gains incredible powers and goes on centre stage… well, yeah. It’s a story. They’re the main characters. They BELONG.

102. Unconditional love, what? I took the ending as being an extension of the 'trust your partner' motto they kept running throughout the game. That is to say, 'trust your partner even if he turns out to be a glowy, omnipotent being who's been lying and manipulating you all along. Not because he's a glowy, omnipotent being, but because he's your partner.' That could totally be me extrapolating, though! But I'm not sure that I see where the 'fealty' bit comes in.
