It's kind of funny bc I was in labour yesterday reading the thread about how everyone here DOES NOT WANT KIDS NO SIREE and thinking "oh I'm the wrong audience for this"

Haha, aw, don't feel that way! Different strokes and all that.

I love babies, I'm the first to squee over co-workers' new kids, but I would never want my own. I'd be that terrible person who'd accidentally leave their kid on top of the car like a coffee cup.

Plus I got the crash course at 15 when my brother knocked up his GF and suddenly I'm looking after a baby every day after school because her parents kicked her out. (People, don't be assholes to your kids when she's doing what YOU taught her by having HER at 15.)

I am doing ok thank you! Considering my vagina is stitched up like a handmade puppet and I am traumatised by the contraction pain! Funny how you just can't describe pain. Baby's name is Penelope. I like Greek myths.

I asked baby what she wanted to post to f!s. She made a noise like a very small guinea pig. So, there's that.

Ooh, details! I could go gory.

Mothers are generally better birth partners but my SO was very sweet and did his best bless him

I can't describe the pain of the contractions, like I simply can't describe it, I forgot my name, I wanted to die, I became like an animal, I had no control. All I could think of was making it stop. I would not last long under torture. But of course you are helpless. There is no way for it to stop.

Actually pushing the baby out is like taking a giant shit in front of your partner while in uncontrollable pain

Shitting in the traditional way also happens although idek at that point

I have a load of weird injuries I can't account for, sprained finger, giant bruise on leg, numerous pinpricks, like I woke up after blacking out at a party (worst party ever)

My hair has already started to fall out. Clumps in the shower. (no one tells you this bit.)

My nipples are already bleeding. Everything hurts

I want to sleep for 3 years but will not be able to sleep now for at least a week I expect bc constant feeding; the sleep bit is a special kind of torture

Baby looks like a tiny old man or possibly gremlin

Still like her though.

Your nipples are bleeding?! Holy shit! I'm sorry you were in so much pain, anon. I knew about the hair thing 'cause the same thing happened to my best friend after she had her baby, but I didn't know about the nipple thing. Hot damn. I'm glad you like your baby though. My friend's baby looked like a conehead when he was born, but he got really cute a few months later.

It's just getting the hang of feeding. It'll get better... I hope! If not there is always formula. No booju/mooju judgement here.
