You know, I don't think people should feel like they're setting the feminist movement back twenty years because they like seeing women in their underwear. Can we just agree that, in general, as a race, people like sex? Can we agree on that, and have it be okay to look at someone and think "Wow, they're hot," and just...fucking move on? I love how rabid L/Light shippers can get away with exploiting any minor detail in canon to create far-fetched fanfiction, but when any het shipper defends themselves with even more solid canon evidence, they're considered 'over-analytical batshit shippers with too much time on their hands'. Actually no. She was intrigued at first because he resembled Zack, but she was more interested in the real Cloud, hence the 'I want to meet you' line on the date.

Then of course, the novella came out and proved that Aerith was never that hot with Zack because she outright declined his flirtations, but...asjdfkljsadf

But agreed...Tifa is not exactly an obstacle for Cloud/Aerith. Frankly, I just wish the compilation would end already--how about some spotlight on the other parts of the franchise? Or better yet, put all the effort towards the newer games. -_-

I'm not even a Cloud/Tifa shipper, but word word word.

Come on, if you paid attention to the game and just about everything connected with it, you'd realize that Tifa is not a contender in this 'Love Triangle'. Hell, you wanna know what's the biggest obstacle for Cloud/Tifa? CLOUD. If that isn't enough to make you feel secure enough to just enjoy the damned pairing, then Tifa's established maternal feelings towards Cloud should be.

Tifa's no more a sue than anyone else in the cast. She has flaws, she's easy to relate to, and she's dealing with it the best she can.

Quite honestly, I don't see why anyone fights about this. Cloud's not exactly the ideal guy, y'know. I know if I was reunited with someone I had a crush on, and he turned out to be a real damned douchebag to me, even though he thought I had been dead up 'til that point? That'd quell any residual feelings I might have had.

Then again, had things gone my way, AerTi would have been far more prevalent. XD

Really, unless you're 12 and just got into the fandom, grow the fuck up already. There is no need to sling mud at characters just because you think they somehow stand in the way of your 'ship. In fact, if you really love your pairing...shouldn't you be enjoying it instead of getting all wound up about what's canon and what's not?

149 - Um...pretty much what I wanted to say has already been said. Lifestream = neutral. I don't think the Lifestream would have done anything benevolent without Aerith guiding it and rallying the other souls within to help.
