The 1995 film Hackers.

Jesus fuck it's awful and it has aged terribly and it is one of my favorite movies of all time.

Oh man I completely agree, that movie is so much fun and all of the secondary characters are so goofy and weird. Totally great movie to watch.

Also, kind of similarly: Johnny Mnemonic. That movie is terrible and I love it so much.

I think Fantastic Beasts is utterly lacking in actual plot, but I love it for Jacob and Queenie.

Also, I do have high hopes for later movies. I think there'll be more plot now that we actually know the characters.

Interesting. I really liked the movie, even though I hated Jacob and Queenie - maybe because Queenie was one of my favourite characters and I felt she deserved better.

I've only read the first book in that series, thanks to a friend loaning me the book (tried to start on 'New Moon' afterward, but never finished it), and honestly, if the series had come out back when I was a teenager, I KNOW I would've been all over it. I get why it appealed to so many people.

And the movies can be cheesy fun, too. If nothing else, Stephanie Meyer has some good taste in music :D.

I wouldn't say it was bad but The Last Jedi was definitely flawed (imo the pacing was atrocious and Daisy Ridley is not a good actress - but she was better than in TFA, I'll give you that).

And yet, I've seen it twice even though I complained the first time that I didn't want to see it (my dad is a SW fan and I'm the only nerd in the family who would indulge him).

I wonder if it's because of Adam Driver (still not handsome though, but god can he ever act) or because I liked all the Reylo shipping?

What's the deal with Reylo, why is it considered so bad?

(And Adam Driver is a textbook example of ugly-hot, to the point of distraction, imo. I'm a casual SW fan and found myself wondering how he could look so odd in some shots and so sexy in others. Anyway I've made peace with the fact that he could get it either way.)

This is currently on my queue. By gonzo I assume you mean the production/anime company? Because if so, have you seen Speed Grapher? If so what are your thoughts?

Oh god so many things.

Loads of doofy monster movies that are truly ridiculous but fun, Shadowhunters is fucking stupid but god help me I love Magnus so much(and a few others as well), the Van Helsing movie that is wonderfully entertaining but also completely dumb, the 2000's Fantastic Four movies are so silly but I love them, the Flash TV show is really dumb sometimes but I love Iris and Barry/Iris so much.

Just lots of stuff, wherever there is entertaining garbage you shall find me basically.

There's a certain kind of awful action movie that I just love anyway. The most recent example is probably The Hitman's Bodyguard. But, like, Snakes on a Plane? Unironically loved that shit. Ditto any Asylum SyFy nonsense starring 80s pop icons.

Pompeii. Not a good movie by any stretch of the imagination. Also very fun.

A lot of B-monster movies if they involve things like volcanoes or dragons. Like the Lavalanchula movies. Fire and Ice and the other SyFy channel dragon movies.

The most recent Little Princess movie. My feelings are so conflicted. Because it is a bad adaption. The book is one of my absolute favorites. And yet I still love the movie a lot and will rewatch it frequently.

I adore that version of A Little Princess, but yeah, it's pretty different from the book. I tend to think of it as an alternate reality to get over the fact that it's not the greatest adaptation of a book I love.

The 1995 version of A Little Princess? I love that film. While it might be a "bad" adaptation in terms of the book, but I didn't really care for the classism in the book to begin with. I love the movie, I think it's beautiful, and even the melodrama works with the film. It's the first film where I took note of Alfonso Cuarón.

tl;dr I love it, and I don't think it's bad. :)
