Some kids eat like that, though.

I remember doing that with things that I really liked, so I could draw it out. I also remember doing it because I was pretending to be a bunny.

Ugh, yes, my kid does this IRL meaning every meal was taking 5000 years, until we declared "a meal" was the time it took the adults to eat and the kid can just keep on nibbling until she's done. So seeing it on TV reminds me of those endless meals!

Providing an example would have helped, because I have no idea what you're talking about. But small children who have been taught basic table manners don't usually take giant bites of things unless they have some kind of underlying anxiety about food or you've told them they can only have one bite of something they want.

1. Or they've been promised dessert or something fun after they clean their plates...

2. Because kids ALWAYS behave after being taught something.

2. Not always, but usually. If they don't, it's not because "kids don't behave." It's because they had a bad teacher.

They have tiny mouths. They physically can't eat large amounts at once.

Multiple takes while eating normally? Adults chew & spit? I don't understand either of these things.
