Fantastic Beasts/Warcraft

(Anonymous) 2018-03-29 11:46 pm (UTC)(link)
I just watched these two movies and I liked the both.

I liked Fantastic Beasts. Never got around to seeing Warcraft, but wanted to - I hope I can catch it on Netflix.

This month has been kind of rough for new releases.

Against all odds, Ready Player One is getting good reviews.

I saw The Ritual the other week and really enjoyed it! I've watched way too many horror films so not many of them creep me out like they used to, but halfway through it I was seriously uncomfortable. It helps that I find woods/forests to be a naturally creepy setting anyway.

I thought the monster design was AMAZING! I thought they were not going to show it but they did and it was perfectly creepy.

Oh, man....
I saw Ravenous and was all !!!!!!!!!! but then saw the date.
I love the 1999 Ravenous with Robert Carlyle.

Wind River was really excellent, and really sad. I've been reading about how many Native women are killed/go missing every year, and how little is done. It just is so fucking grotesque.

But the movie itself was beautiful, and really just... I really liked it.

I've seen the old Ravenous too. As long as you are talking about the one with Wendigos.

I enjoyed Pacific Rim 2! It was everything I wanted and expected it to be. Plus, all the fights were in the daytime, which was an issue I had with the first one.

Re: Movies

I still haven't seen Black Panther and at this rate who knows if I will (if I was going to feel enthusiasm, it would have happened by now). I don't care if I see it before Infinity War or if I wait to see Infinity War so I can see BP, so whatever. I also want to see A Wrinkle in Time, and that may take precedence over Black Panther, since BP made billion dollars and whether they get my ten bucks now or later or never is irrelevant now.

That's the spirit. It has its problems, but I think it was unfairly judged by a lot of people.

Black Panther was a lot of fun. The Wrinkle in Time wasn't horrible to sit through, but it might've been if I wasn't a fan of the source.

Hoping to see Pacific Rim this weekend. Saw Cloud Atlas earlier in the week, and it was interesting.
