Yeah 30 years is a BIG gap at her age (if she really is 22). Like, to me it's not even the amount of years between them, it's the fact that they're at completely different life stages.

Like, 34/48 is a lot of years to me, but I probably wouldn't blink at it, you know?

DA but having or desiring to have a "trophy" partner is frequently looked down upon and considered objectifying, tasteless, shallow, creepy/pathetic, entitled, etc regardless of the genders involved. Saying "not many men would turn down the chance to bang a large-breasted 20-something" doesn't speak well of the male population because to say that most men desire a trophy wife is to say that most men possess these undesirable traits associated with wanting a trophy wife.

If we're just talking about sex, I don't think there's anything wrong with it

I agree that trophy relationships are creepy and not good, but to the extent that comments are framing it specifically around the sexual aspect being bad, that's where I disagree

the problem isn't that he's banging someone who's hot and younger than him, the problem is the romantic relationship on top of that. at least as far as i see it.

Same (again, not on her side) especially the way Paul slavered over 18-year-old Ruby Tandoh when she was on the show. I was no particular fan of Ruby, but that was just gross.

I know it was a big thing in the media but honestly, I've watched that season of Bake Off and don't think he did drool over her noticeably.
