I remember seeing the trailer for The Abominable Bride and the period costumes and I had all of these wonderful, fantastic expectations.. and then the ruined it to a degree I haven't seen since or before. I'm still mourning.

Same. Even after the mess of season 3,I still hoped the special would be as cool as it looked...but no. :(
