...Really?

Because as much as I love TvTropes, they're not the best for finding out whether something is good. I go through reviews on good reads for that.

I mean, I'll find something because of the website, but I wouldn't use it as my ultimate recommender.

I think they're using it to find books that have generated a lot of fan interest, because they think that's a better metric of popularity (if not quality) than the traditional methods.

I personally check out if there are Entries both for tropes I hate and love if reviews are mixed.
