What is everyone doing this weekend?

I am hoping to play some Pokemon Go during this event. I also plan on FINALLY making those damn boiled peanuts to my sister will stop hassling me about them. Other than that, doing a lot of Overwatch because I want that Reaper and Hanzo skin.

My aunt, uncle, and cousin are here. No plans for most of tomorrow. My parents are going to the opera and my relatives are going to the Alamo. I'm looking forward to the house to myself. We're doing Red Lobster for dinner, though. Sunday we're having high tea at some restaurant and then going to the mall. Monday we're doing the spa.

I hope the relaxing in between all the busyness is nice. But really, your weekend and Monday looks SUPER busy.

Yup. Although, the spa is pretty relaxing. Getting massages, and then this place has a pool, several hot tubs, and a sauna that we can use for the rest of the day if we want. So that should be nice.

Tonight I'm going to the movies with friends and I'm going to a concert tomorrow. I've been sick for over two weeks so this is the first time I've gone out to do something fun for a while.

What concert are you going to if you don't mind me asking? I am glad you are feeling better!

We're scheduled to get a foot of snow so I'm tucking in. I also think I have pink eye so I'm kind of resting my eye. But I also hope to get some writing done, finish one of my exchange fics.

OH NO! I saw on the news about a possibly historic April snowstorm. I hope you get over your pink eye soon. I am not sure how long it usually lasts.

Going to a Celtic Woman concert tomorrow! I'm so excited. On Sunday, I'm going rock climbing. I used to climb a lot when I was younger so I can't wait to get back to it.

That sounds awesome! I love Celtic music.

Rehearsing for a performance of Carmina Burana on Saturday and singing in it on Sunday; practicing the Card Trio from Carmen for the opera studio recital on Tuesday; crunching numbers for genetics lab the rest of the time.

I love it too--I'm singing Carmen; how often does a mezzo get to sing the lead? But Frasquita and Mercedes are being sung by two classmates who are voice majors and could probably sing my part way, way better than I can! The closer we get to recital day, the sicker I feel. Everybody in the group--the tenor who's opening the show with "Love sounds th' Alarum" from Acis and Galatea, the group who are doing Papageno's suicide scene from Zauberflote, the soprano and tenor who are doing back-to-back arias from Massenet's Manon, and all the rest--every last one is just so. damn. good. My voice instructor thought I should go out for this class, and the instructors encouraged me, but...

On the other hand, Carmina Burana is just going to be pure fun. I don't have a solo, so it's going to be comparatively relaxed. The only bad part is going to be standing on risers with 300 other people for 75 minutes.

I am a little drunk and I don't know you, but I am so proud of you. I know opera singing is hard as fuck. And considering what you have said, you must be pretty talented if they are letting you sing even though you don't have to typical role!

I spent two and a half paychecks on a half hour with an estate lawyer this morning, then came home with a raging headache and threw up. Still feeling pukey, but in a week or two I’ll officially own my house. Hopefully I’ll feel better tomorrow because I’m going to the local March for Science and helping my aunt push her friend’s wheelchair.

I am sorry you are feeling so awful. :( But congrats on the house ownership.

Watching television (Finishing National Treasure: Kiri and also watching Deep Space Nine.)

I really need to straighten the apartment and shop tomorrow and cook Sunday but the whole idea is intimidating me.

I hope you enjoy the TV and that cleaning isn;t too awful!

Cooking and cleaning should be OK if I set modest goals. But that can be hard for me.
